Ghosts Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
Getting a good performance from center fielder Jur Prokop, the Casper Ghosts defeated the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 6-3. Prokop was 4-4 with a triple and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs for the Ghosts. Casper has now won 4 games in a row.
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic-born José Reyes came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Ghosts trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run single to right-center to put Casper on top.
In comments to the Casper Daily News, Prokop admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
