Chesapeake played host to Lake Minnetonka at the friendly confines of Chesapeake Grounds.

The Chesapeake Continentals easily defeated the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats, 12-4, at Chesapeake Grounds, with third baseman Mark Sawyer a main contributor to the win. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for Chesapeake. Tex Fountas, credited with the win, is now 8-4. He allowed 4 runs on 6 hits in 5.2 innings. Roger Versluis was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.

Chesapeake second baseman Tomás Valdéz made his contribution to the Continentals cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the fifth inning. For the day, Valdéz was 2 for 5 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
