Sawyer Helps Continentals Run Win Streak to 3
The Chesapeake Continentals topped the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 7-2, at Mercer Island Grounds. Chesapeake third baseman Mark Sawyer earned player of the game honors. He banged out 2 singles and 2 doubles, while driving in 3 runs. Chesapeake now sits in 6th place in the Premier AA at 44-45.

Sawyer had an important at-bat with a runner on 2nd in the top of the fourth, when he hit a run-scoring single. The Continentals went on to win.

"We need to keep playing good baseball," Sawyer told the Chesapeake Citizen.
