Continentals Prevail, 6-4, Over Atlantic City

The Atlantic City Sonics and Chesapeake Continentals brought some excitement to Sonics Ballpark.
Benefiting from Raphaël Duval's productive game, the Chesapeake Continentals downed the Atlantic City Sonics, 6-4. Duval slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Continentals. Chesapeake reliever Jason Todd picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Joaquín Pérez absorbed the loss. Tom King sewed up the save, his 12th.
With a runner on 2nd and no one out in the top of the sixth inning, third baseman Mark Sawyer delivered big for the Continentals. Chesapeake was trailing 4-2 when he belted a 2-run home run.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Sawyer.
After today's action, Chesapeake sits at 42-45, while Atlantic City falls to 50-37.
