Rob Brooks put on a hitting clinic today as the Reno Silver Sox dumped the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats 13-8 at Heron Field.

The Reno center fielder made Lake Minnetonka defenders earn their pay, lashing Lake Minnetonka pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Brooks said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Rob Brooks singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
