Late Rally by Loons Secures Win
|
Minnesota Loons starter Ángel Flores was in fine form against the Tacoma Fur Traders at Loony Bin, leading his team to a 1-0 win. Ainanani Oliwa picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-2. Ed Hammond was tagged with the loss. Minnesota has now won 3 straight, while the Fur Traders have lost 3 in a row.
Leonardo Medina was the walk-off hero for Minnesota. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Loons third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Flores told the Minnesota Today.
