Big Day by Ramos Sparks Fur Traders Win
|
Tacoma catcher Bartolo Ramos had a 4-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 8-2 win over the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats. Ed Hammond got the win, improving to 7-4. He held the Love Boats to 2 earned runs on 5 hits over 8.2 innings, while striking out 8 and walking 0. The Fur Traders are now 27-28, while the Love Boats fall to 21-34.
Ramos contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Tacoma in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Ramos took a fastball from Alejandro García and stroked the home run to center. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Fur Traders to leap in front, 2-1.
"We had a nice day," said Tacoma skipper George Sanford.
