Behind the bravura of catcher Jong-beom Chang, the Reno Silver Sox topped the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats by the score of 6-5. Chang went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for the Silver Sox. Hans Rager finished the game for Reno and earned his 8th save. Reno has now won 3 straight, while the Love Boats have lost 3 in a row.
Had Roy Burns not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Burns hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Silver Sox.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Reno manager Emílio Sáenz.
