Loons Down Fur Traders, 5-3
|
Fans who gathered at Loony Bin saw a good contest between the Minnesota Loons and Tacoma Fur Traders.
The Loons had to overcome a good performance from Tacoma pitcher Kentaro Kato to claim a 5-3 win at Loony Bin. Kato went 6.2 innings and allowed 4 earned runs. Minnesota is now 21-22.
Bill Bean went 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs for Minnesota. The 23-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Kentaro Kato. It was his 16th RBI of the season.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Bean said.
