Screaming Eagles Fall Short, 7-6, at Lake Minnetonka

The Lake Minnetonka Love Boats turned back the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 7-6, at Heron Field. Ed St. James was named player of the game for his fine performance. He was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Pancho Mastache locked down his 9th save. Lake Minnetonka is now 15-27, while Mercer Island is 26-16.
Lake Minnetonka grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when St. James, who is rated as the 83rd best prospect by BNN, hit a grand slam home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Love Boats out in front, 7-3.
St. James told the Lake Minnetonka Herald: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
