Fur Traders Top Continentals to Even Record

Tacoma and Chesapeake duked it out at Chesapeake Grounds and the Fur Traders came out victorious.
The Tacoma Fur Traders topped the Chesapeake Continentals, 7-5, at Chesapeake Grounds. Tacoma left fielder Alejandro Aquilera earned player of the game honors. He banged out 2 singles and 1 double, while driving in 3 runs. Kentaro Kato got the win, improving to 2-3. He worked 7.2 innings, giving up 5 runs on 9 hits, while striking out 10 and walking 2.
Tacoma took a 5-1 lead on Aquilera's 2nd double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which he hit off Bu-wei Law in the top of the sixth, propelled Tacoma to the win.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Aquilera told reporters after the game.
The Fur Traders now have a record of 19-19 with the win over Chesapeake.
