The Reno Silver Sox turned back the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats, 8-7, at Tennille Grounds. Juan Laguna was named player of the game for his fine performance. He went 3-5 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Reno reliever Aaron Houchens picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Pancho Mastache took the loss. The Silver Sox move to 19-15 with the win, while the Love Boats drop to 11-23.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With two out, Laguna hit a fastball from Pancho Mastache for a run-scoring single. The Silver Sox, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

Laguna said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."
