Screaming Eagles Cut Down Fur Traders, 6-2
Riding the 2-hit performance of the 26-year old left fielder Oliver Burrell, the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles stopped the Tacoma Fur Traders, 6-2. The Screaming Eagles move to 17-14 with the win, while the Fur Traders drop to 16-15.

Burrell contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Mercer Island in the top of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Burrell took a changeup from Ed Hammond and stroked the home run to left. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Screaming Eagles to leap in front, 3-1.

"I'm not out there for personal accomplishments," Burrell told a Mercer Island Citizen reporter after the game. "I'm out there to help the team win, and that's what we did today."
