Tight Tilt Goes to Fur Traders, 4-3
|
The Tacoma Fur Traders did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Reno Silver Sox at Tennille Grounds. Nobody did more than pitcher Aiden Dubhghall, who captured player of the game honors. Jeffrey Chesser earned the save for Tacoma, his 7th. After today's action, Tacoma sits at 16-14, while Reno falls to 17-13.
Had Sinclair Bothof not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Bothof hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Fur Traders.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Dubhghall.
