The Atlantic City Sonics eked out a 3-2 win versus the Casper Ghosts at Sonics Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Ron Fernández, who captured player of the game honors. Picking up the save was Amando Codes, his 7th. Atlantic City is now 17-13, Casper 13-17.
The Sonics got a lift from first baseman Bryce Abood who had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth inning off Robert Cagle. It was his 10th RBI of the season and put Atlantic City in front, 3-2.
"It feels good to get this one," Abood told the Atlantic City News.
