Loons Fall Short at Lake Minnetonka
The Lake Minnetonka Love Boats grabbed a 6-5 win over the Minnesota Loons at Heron Field. Lake Minnetonka shortstop Jeff Hunter was 4-4 with 4 singles to earn player of the game honors. The win was Pancho Mastache's in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Quan Shiu took the loss for Minnesota. Lake Minnetonka is now 6-19, while Minnesota is 13-12.

Ed St. James was the walk-off hero for Lake Minnetonka. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Love Boats third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

St. James told the Lake Minnetonka Herald: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
