Tacoma Fur Traders starter Ed Hammond was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 4-2. Jeffrey Chesser nailed down his 4th save. Tacoma, now 8-4, has played well in the early going.

Stan Wheeler helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run home run to give Tacoma a 2-0 lead.

"It was a good effort all around," said Hammond.
