Victory Pushes Flamingos Record to 52-39
|
The Las Vegas Flamingos defeated the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, 6-1, in United States Premier League action at Atlantica. Ruud van Ineveld received player of the game honors. The 8-year veteran hit 2 home runs. At 52-39, the Flamingos find themselves in third place in the Premier League.
Victor Adams, who is tied for 9th in the PL with a .384 on-base percentage, chipped in for Las Vegas with a 2-run home run in the top of the first. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"I thought we played a nice game," van Ineveld told the Las Vegas Bulletin. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
