The Bloomington Longnecks beat the Bakersfield Nobles, 7-3, at Jerome Grounds. The Longnecks got a fine performance from left fielder Marshall Willis, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2 for 3 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. The 6th-place Longnecks have won 4 consecutive games.

Early in the game, catcher Bastiaan Pieterse had a 3-run home run for Bloomington. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Longnecks on top, 3-0.
