Bowties Roll to 8-2 Win Over Divided
|
The Buckhead Bowties topped the D.C. Divided by the score of 8-2, with the biggest share of the credit going to designated hitter Yu-zeng Si. Si was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Bowties on the day. Buckhead, at 50-40, occupies 4th place in the Premier League.
Buckhead catcher Edwin Church helped the Bowties to the win. In the bottom of the fifth inning, the 36-year old catcher stroked a 2-run single. For the game, Church went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs.
"We looked pretty good up and down," said Buckhead manager Kerry Hofmeister.
