Fighting Dachsunds Fall to .500 After Loss to Nobles
|
The Bakersfield Nobles got a stellar performance from pitcher Shuntavyious Primes-Willes, who handcuffed the Ellenburg offense en route to a 4-2 win at Dog Park in Ellenburg. Primes-Willes, the winner, moves to 6-1. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 3 walks. The third-place Nobles have won 4 consecutive games.
It could have been a different outcome for Bakersfield, had it not been for Wei-qiang Mo, the 29-year old center fielder . Mo contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put Bakersfield up, 2-1.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Bakersfield manager Elliott Taylor.
