The Calgary Lynx stymied the Baltimore Black Sox, 3-0, at Constellation Ballpark. Dhyana Snigdha, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Calgary. Andrew Moody, the winner, improved to 1-0. He held the Black Sox to no earned runs on 5 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 4. Jesús Hernández earned save number 6.
Snigdha had a game-changing double in the top of the sixth. On a 0-2 cutter from Jordan Turpin, he banged a 2-run double to left, giving the Lynx a 2-0 lead. It was the 6th double of the year for Snigdha.
"We'll try to build on that win," Snigdha told the Calgary Daily News.
The Lynx bumped their record to 44-33 with this latest triumph.
