The Scranton Supernovas picked up a win at Crane Field, knocking off the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes, 4-2. On the mound for Scranton was right-hander Ángel Gardener, who played a pivotal role in the win. Gardener, now 5-6, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 3, walking 4, and allowing 2 earned runs. The Supernovas now have a mark of 35-32.
José Rodríguez, who is tied for 4th in the PAAA with a .411 on-base percentage, helped out the Scranton cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the catcher was 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk.
