Men Squelch Black Sox Offense in Shutout Win
|
Florida Men starter Pedro Herrera turned in an exceptional performance against the Baltimore Black Sox at Psychos Ballpark, resulting in a Florida win, 3-0. Tomás Vargas notched his 11th save in 13 chances. Florida, at 25-35, occupies last place in the Premier AAA.
In the bottom of the second, Bastyão Lizardo hit a run-scoring single for Florida. The 30th hit of the season for the Florida third baseman put the Men on top, 1-0.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Florida manager Hugh Harris. "It's usually not just one thing."
