The Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds thumped the Baltimore Black Sox, 12-1, at Constellation Ballpark. Oscar McMillan was a big reason his team got the win. McMillan went 3-5 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Felipe Pereira got the win, improving to 4-6. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 5 hits and 1 run, while striking out 1 and walking 2. The Fighting Dachsunds now have a mark of 30-25.
Early in the game, shortstop Ben Boston had a 2-run double for Ellenburg. It was his 16th double of the season and put the Fighting Dachsunds on top, 2-1.
In postgame comments to the Ellenburg Times, Boston said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
