Pike Hits 2 home runs in Golden Cranes Win
|
It was a good time at Crane Field, where fans came to watch the Scranton Supernovas and Santa Barbara Golden Cranes get after it.
The Santa Barbara Golden Cranes bested the Scranton Supernovas, 3-1, at Crane Field. James Pike was named player of the game. He slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Isaaka Ienimea earned the win for Santa Barbara. He lasted 8 innings, allowing 1 earned run on 4 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 4-2. Picking up the save was Luis Torres, his 7th.
Pike delivered in the bottom of the third inning for Santa Barbara. With the game tied and a runner on 1st, the designated hitter hit a 2-run home run to left.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Pike.
Santa Barbara now sits in second place in the Premier AAA at 28-24.
