Supernovas Fall Short, 4-3, at Jersey City
|
Despite a fine performance by designated hitter Felipe Bruno, the Scranton Supernovas suffered a 4-3 loss to the Jersey City Tritons. Bruno was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Kyung-nam Kim picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. Malulani Anakone was tagged with the loss. Jersey City is now 23-21, while Scranton is 22-22.
The Tritons got a lift from center fielder Mathias Gudmestad who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the sixth inning off Norberto Concepción. It was his 1st walk of the season and put Jersey City in front, 4-3.
"I was a little disappointed," said Scranton manager Dave Lee. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
