Men Fall Short at Jersey City
|
Jersey City beat Florida at Jersey City Grounds, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Marcos Beringel, who earned player of the game honors. With the win, Jersey City goes to 21-18, while the Men fall to 17-22.
Late in the game, shortstop Dana Waldrip had a big at-bat for Jersey City. In the bottom of the 15th, he hit a run-scoring single off Wong Fei-Hung. The play gave the Tritons a 4-3 lead.
"This game tested our mettle," said Waldrip.
