Flamingos Come Up Short at Boston
|
The Las Vegas Flamingos got a superb performance from first baseman Baldomero Avino. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Boston. The Patriots won the game, 3-2. In spite of the loss, Avino was named the player of the game. He was 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. Shuntavyious Primes-Willes earned his 3rd save in 3 chances. Boston is now 50-34, Las Vegas 47-37.
Anselmo Berneu helped out the Boston cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the catcher went 1-2 with a walk.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Las Vegas manager JJ Hoban. "The effort was great."
