Pitcher Dale Snider was sensational for the Baltimore Black Sox in his team's 2-1 triumph over the Scranton Supernovas. Snider received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Snider, now 2-3, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 4, walking 4, and allowing no earned runs. Bob Christison picked up the save, his 3rd.
Alex Mable aided the Baltimore cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the first. For the game, the right fielder went 1 for 4.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Mable told the Baltimore Herald.
The Black Sox raised their record to 11-15.
