The Santa Barbara Golden Cranes turned back the Calgary Lynx, 5-4, at Lynx Stadium. Jin-song Seah was named player of the game for his fine performance. He went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Russ Horne, who went 6.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 4 runs on 7 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 1-2. Luis Torres earned the save, his 2nd.
Seah contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Santa Barbara in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 4-2, Seah took a fastball from Lorenzo Díaz and stroked the home run to right-center. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Golden Cranes to leap in front, 5-4.
"I like our moxie," said Golden Cranes manager Manuel Hernández.
Santa Barbara is now 16-8, while Calgary is 14-10.
