Tritons Beat Visiting Black Sox, 1-0
|
Jersey City beat Baltimore on the strength of starter Iwane Chihara's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 1-0 win. Keith Johnson picked up the save, his 4th. The Tritons improved to 12-12.
Early in the game, right fielder Rand McNally had a run-scoring single for Jersey City. It was his 30th hit of the season and put the Tritons on top, 1-0.
"It feels good to get this one," Chihara told the Jersey City News.
