Tritons Shut Out Black Sox
|
Jordan Turpin pitched well, but the Baltimore Black Sox still lost the game, falling 4-0 to the Jersey City Tritons at Jersey City Grounds. Jersey City reliever Francisco Torres picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jordan Turpin absorbed the loss. Jersey City is now 11-12.
Jersey City grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Rubén Arce delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 1-0 in favor of the Tritons.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Jersey City manager Juan López. "Our pregame was pretty good."
