Men Pin 7-4 Loss on Black Sox
|
The Florida Men beat the Baltimore Black Sox, 7-4, at Constellation Ballpark. The win was largely due to the efforts of second baseman Todd Sentell, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Tomás Vargas earned his 1st save in 1 tries. Despite the win, Florida, now 6-14, is off to a terrible start.
Jorge Díaz, who is tied for 3rd in the PAAA in extra base hits with 11, contributed to the Florida win with a 2-run home run in the top of the third. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Díaz. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
