Pate Helps Supernovas Run Win Streak to 5
|
The Scranton Supernovas handed the Bakersfield Nobles a loss at Jerome Grounds. The final score was 10-4. Mike Pate was named player of the game for Scranton. In addition to his 2 singles and 1 home run, he scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The winner was Scranton reliever Orlando Ángel, now 1-0. The loser was Fernando Torrez. The win takes Scranton to 10-7.
With Scranton leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Pate hit a fastball from Fernando Torrez for a run-scoring single. It was his 19th hit of the season and put the Supernovas ahead, 2-0.
"I like the roll we're on," said Scranton manager Dave Lee.
