|
Pawnee got a terrific game from second baseman Chad Silander. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Scranton, 6-5. Silander was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The ParksNRec drop to 5-8 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2034 season.
Mike Pate was the walk-off hero for Scranton. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Supernovas center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Pate said.
