River Rats Shut Out Bulls
|
José Lucero pitched well, but the Mt. Vernon Bulls still lost the game, falling 4-0 to the Columbia River Rats at Columbia Stadium. Kit Scheetz finished to wrap up his 2nd save. The River Rats, now 3-1, have hit the ground running this season.
Columbia grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and a runner on 1st, Brian Burt delivered a run-scoring double, to make it 1-0 in favor of the River Rats.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Burt said.
