Thunder Hawks Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
|
Ft. Polk South starter Ricardo Peito put a stranglehold on the Richland offense. The right-hander had complete command of his curveball in leading the Thunder Hawks to a 3-1 win. Reliever Gunnar Hoglund picked up the win. His record improves to 8-4. Cliff Claven took the loss. The Thunder Hawks own a robust 64-34 mark.
Pedro Larate made it 2-1, Ft. Polk South, in the top of the tenth when he hit a sacrifice fly. It was a big at-bat in the Thunder Hawks win.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Peito said.
