Virginia Beach starter Kenneth Ferrell pitched effectively against the San Antonio BC at San Antonio Field. The right-hander led his team to a 4-3 win. Virginia Beach reliever Vladmiri Fanardjyan got the win, raising his record to 5-4. Okura Tenno was tagged with the loss. Kenny Hannah earned his 15th save in 15 chances.
Andrew Crosby made it 4-3 in favor of Virginia Beach when he delivered a run-scoring single. It came with two out in the top of the tenth. The red-hot Deuces went on to win.
"We squandered some opportunities," said San Antonio manager António Molina.
