The Billings Polar Bears got a stellar performance from pitcher Paco Rojas, who handcuffed the Salem offense en route to a 4-1 win at Ricochets Ballpark. Ren-qing Weng picked up the save, his 1st. The Polar Bears now have a mark of 50-39.

Luis Pérez, not known for his power, had a big at-bat with two out in the top of the sixth. That's when he connected on a splitter from Dusty Fox for a solo home run. His 10th home run of the season put Billings in front, 1-0.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Rojas told the Billings Gazette.
