Rails Lose Again, 4-1, to BC
|
The San Antonio BC picked up a win at San Antonio Field, knocking off the Richland Rails, 4-1. Starting pitcher Jackson Williams, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Williams got the win, improving to 3-4. He allowed 7 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. Williams allowed 1 earned run. Okura Tenno was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 5 of 6 save opportunities.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out in the bottom of the fifth inning. That's when second baseman José Salinas, who was drafted in the two round of the 2030 draft, drew a walk. The BC went on to win.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Salinas said.
The Rails, now 26-60, have lost 7 straight.
