Sixshooters Solve Polar Bears, 6-4
|
The Westwood Sixshooters bested the Billings Polar Bears by a score of 6-4, with first baseman David Muller getting the main credit. On the day, Muller was 3-4 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Sixshooters. Loren Berdine got the win, improving to 7-4. He pitched 8 innings, giving up 6 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 3. Maurice Hilliard was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 2 save opportunities.
George Cook aided the Westwood cause with a run-scoring triple in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the right fielder was 1-4 with a triple.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Cook said after the game.
