Late Rally by Sixshooters Secures Win
|
The San Antonio BC got a sterling performance from pitcher José Lucero, but the Sixshooters still prevailed, 2-1. Lucero was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 8 innings of 7-hit ball. Westwood reliever Kade Kinnamon picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. José Lucero shouldered the loss. Christian Clayton picked up the save, his 29th.
The Sixshooters got a big at-bat from shortstop Simone Catalani. For the game, Catalani went 1-4 with a triple. In the bottom of the eighth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 2nd triple of the season gave Westwood a 2-1 lead.
"We did just enough to win," Catalani said.
The BC, now 30-47, have lost 4 in a row.
