Rapiers Turn Back Ft. Polk South, 3-1

Durham got a strong outing from Kelsey MacGillivary as the Rapiers defeated the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks, 3-1, at Thunder Hawks Ballpark. MacGillivary, now 4-4, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 6, walking 0, and allowing no earned runs. Bob Kennedy, credited with the save, is now 11 for 13 in save opportunities.
Durham used the timely hitting of Lu-fang Koo to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Rapiers on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Durham manager Brody Roberts. "It's usually not just one thing."
Durham is 8th in the Menard's AA with a record of 38-39.
