Fans who came to Field of the Rawhides watched the Virginia Beach Deuces and the Belvedere Park Rawhides fight to the finish.

Virginia Beach Deuces starter John Wallbank was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Belvedere Park Rawhides, 2-1. Kenny Hannah, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 9th save.

Richard Sonntag's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With no one out, he rapped a fastball from Ron Pomar for a run-scoring double. It put Virginia Beach in front, 2-1.

"I had pretty good command out there," said Wallbank.

The 5th-place Deuces have won 4 in a row.
