Stingers Continue Skid Thanks to Delgado, Grey Wolves
The Vancouver Grey Wolves knocked off the Toledo Stingers, 14-11, at Pacesetter Park. Ángelo Delgado, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Vancouver won. The catcher was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Sjaak Bonne picked up the save, his 11th. Vancouver has now won 4 straight, while the Stingers have lost 4 in a row.

Vancouver used the clutch hitting of Urs van Munster to capture the win. The left fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to give the Grey Wolves the lead, 4-1. For the game, van Munster had 2 singles and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

Toledo manager Francis Bova expressed his frustration after the game: "That many runs and it still wasn't enough?"
