The Ottawa Nationals defeated the San Antonio BC, 9-3, in M3L Double A action at Nationals Park, with Ottawa designated hitter Anthon Klomp named player of the game. Amadeo Nardello got the win, improving to 2-7. He worked 5 innings, giving up 1 run on 4 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 2. Walt Wilson, credited with the save, is now 1 for 1 in save opportunities.
Early in the game, Klomp had a 2-run home run for Ottawa. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Nationals on top, 2-0.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager John Hill said.
