Victory Over BC Takes Billings to 35-21
|
The San Antonio BC wasted an impressive 6.2-inning effort from starter Shadi Zafar, falling 2-0 to the Billings Polar Bears at San Antonio Field. The Polar Bears improved to 35-21.
The Polar Bears got a big at-bat from catcher José Herrera. For the game, Herrera was 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the seventh, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 7th hit of the season gave Billings a 2-0 lead.
In postgame comments to the Billings Gazette, Herrera said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
