BC Squelch Rails Offense in Shutout Win
|
San Antonio BC starter Nate Randall was in fine form against the Richland Rails at Rails Ballpark, leading his team to a 3-0 win. Getting the save was Joseph Barrier, his 1st. Richland's current losing streak has reached 5 games.
The BC got a big at-bat from center fielder Mike Howard. For the game, Howard was 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. In the top of the fifth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 16th double of the season gave San Antonio a 1-0 lead.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" San Antonio manager António Molina said.
