Rapiers Win at Ottawa, 6-4
|
Durham withstood an impressive performance by Ottawa first baseman Alan Shaw to defeat the Nationals, 6-4, at Nationals Park. Shaw went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The Rapiers saw their win-loss record go to 27-23. At the same time, the Nationals fell to 15-35.
Tso-i Wang helped out the Durham cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the second baseman drew 1 walk in 5 trips to the plate, while adding 2 RBI.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Wang said.
